To me photographing is much more than just making pretty pictures. It's about the little things, the things that money can't buy. It's about capturing love, by creating a space so that you can express what's in your heart. And then remembering and filling your home with that feeling each time you look at your images. 

Here you'll find authentic storytelling photography, full of soul. My aim is to photograph you and your loved ones as naturally and candidly as possible, with a focus on capturing meaningful moments that will be treasured by generations to come. In the lead up to your photography session, I will spend some time finding out what is special to your family, and we can collaborate as to the look and feel that you are after.

FAQ's

I love your work! How do we book?

Yay so happy to hear! I love working with like-minds and feel like we get the best results when we're on the same page. My goal for your photography session is that you feel like yourself. I believe true beauty comes from within, and the most beautiful images are when you are relaxed, and feel like the authentic you. My focus is to capture emotion, how you feel about each other and the love you share with your nearest and dearest. So if you have a good feeling about my style, let's chat more!

To book in your session date, the $950 session fee is payable. You are welcome to split your payment into x2 by paying half on booking and half prior to your session.

So how does the process work?

Firstly I'll send you a questionaire getting to your family, and so we can brainstorm the look and feel for your photography experience. I'll also send you some "what to wear" guides and answer any of your questions. 

Generally I start photographing in your home, and finish in your favourite outdoor location for the last of the golden light at the end of the day. We'll play and snap for around 2 hours, although I don't have strict time schedules and prefer to work with the flow on the day. 

After your session, I'll select all the best images, and lovingly edit them. This process usually takes 1-2 weeks. Then we'll either meet up again so you can enjoy your images and place your order, or if you're further afield I can arrange an on-line gallery for you to view your photos. I'll have a draft album layout ready for you to tweak and I'm also happy to help you in deciding on sizes or wall displays. I highly recommend grabbing some choccies and sitting back and soaking up this beautiful family of yours. 

We've never had professional photos taken, can you help us feel relaxed?

No problem, I'll get you chatting, playing your fave games, snuggling and generally being silly. Most clients feed back that the photo session was actually a bit of quality time spent together as a family, a chance to slow down and focus on re-connecting. I have children myself and am very used to the everyday chaos, and even relish in the opportunity this brings in capturing moments that are the most real.  So please just be yourselves, and leave the rest the me!

I'm after a slightly different package, do you tailor your packages?

Sure thing, I find that most families aren't sure about how they will display their images until they've seen their full gallery. I'm happy to work with you in planning for wall layouts and can arrange for printing and framing to suit your home. 

We're not on the Central Coast, do you travel?

Absolutely! I often travel further afield for family storytelling sessions and am very happy to come to you. Depending on the location, a small travel fee may be included. 

How long have you been photographing and are you insured?

I've been capturing weddings and families for over 10 years, and since 2010 as Sandra Henri Photography. I use only professional photographic equipment, printers and products, and I am fully insured.
